2-cents a week: Breakfast #2

What do I enjoy for breakfast?

If I can have a fantasy breakfast and there are no limits to how much I can stomach, it would consist of:
  • Eggs Benedict,
  • a side of fresh fruit salad,
  • open-faced sandwiches with smoked salmon and smoked herring,
  • a single scone with clotted cream,
  • finished off with a cup or two of strong English Breakfast tea with milk and sugar and short bread.

Heaven. That’s my idea of a good western-style breakfast.

How about one with local flavour?

Then it would be (again, with unlimited stomach space):
  • a plate of slippery smooth chee cheong fun (flat rice noodles) from Ipoh, lightly drizzled with fried onion oil and soya sauce, and sprinkled with roasted sesame and spring onions,
  • a steaming hot bowl of smooth congee with lean pork and a generous dose of century eggs,
  • a plate of tasty yellow noodles, dry, with black sauce and curry sauce paired with a bowl of hot soup with meat balls,
  • Topped with a fragrant cup of tea with condense milk.

I am salivating thinking about it.
