2-cents a week: Breakfast #2
If I can have a fantasy breakfast and there are
no limits to how much I can stomach, it would consist of:
- Eggs Benedict,
- a side of fresh fruit salad,
- open-faced sandwiches with smoked salmon and smoked herring,
- a single scone with clotted cream,
- finished off with a cup or two of strong English Breakfast tea with milk and sugar and short bread.
How about one with local flavour?
Then it would be (again, with unlimited stomach
space):
- a plate of slippery smooth chee cheong fun (flat rice noodles) from Ipoh, lightly drizzled with fried onion oil and soya sauce, and sprinkled with roasted sesame and spring onions,
- a steaming hot bowl of smooth congee with lean pork and a generous dose of century eggs,
- a plate of tasty yellow noodles, dry, with black sauce and curry sauce paired with a bowl of hot soup with meat balls,
- Topped with a fragrant cup of tea with condense milk.
I am salivating thinking about it.
